Performance agreement

This is an example of the terms Rock and Roll Band Promotions uses when coordinating a gig. It is not an offer, not a counter-offer, and not a contract. Real agreements are issued per date with the actual money, times, and riders filled in.

Rock and Roll Band Promotions — Performance Agreement (SAMPLE)

Promoter: BZ Entertainment dba Rock and Roll Band Promotions
Dallas, Texas · bookings@rockandrollband.org · (817) 952-6696

1. Parties

Promoter books the engagement. Artist is the performing act. Venue is the room hosting the performance. Promoter is the booking contact between Artist and Venue unless the deal sheet says otherwise.

2. Engagement

Date, load-in, set times, and curfew are listed on the deal sheet. Artist plays the agreed set length. Venue provides the stage, power, and access as described in the advance.

3. Compensation

Guarantee, door split, or plus-door is written on the deal sheet in U.S. dollars. Settlement is due the night of the show unless the deal sheet states otherwise. Promoter may collect on behalf of Artist and remit through BZ Flow.

4. Production

Who provides and who pays PA, backline, and FOH engineer is a deal variable — never assumed. Artist supplies a current tech rider, input list, and stage plot no later than seven days before the date. Hospitality (if any) is listed on the rider, not invented at load-in.

5. Promotion

Promoter runs show-week creative (social, flyers, local outreach). Artist shares the same assets to their channels. Venue posts the bill on in-house calendars and social. No party uses the others' marks in a way that implies endorsement beyond this date.

6. Cancellation

Force majeure (weather, venue closure, government order, serious illness) cancels without penalty when notice is given as soon as practical. Artist or Venue cancellation without cause may forfeit deposit and/or reasonable out-of-pocket costs as written on the deal sheet.

7. Conduct & safety

Artist and crew follow venue house rules, capacity, and alcohol service law. Harassment, illegal activity, or no-show without cause is grounds for immediate cancellation and removal from the RRBP roster.

8. Not this document

This sample does not create an agency-of-record, exclusive booking, or employment relationship. Signing happens on a dated deal sheet (or e-sign packet) that fills in the blanks above. If anything here conflicts with a signed deal sheet, the deal sheet wins.
